THE Maverick festival, showcasing the best in American roots music, is marking its fifth birthday this year and The Journal, out today, has a pair of Saturday tickets to give away to one lucky winner.

Maverick Festival is the place to experience the best in American roots music in the relaxed, family-friendly environment of Easton Farm Park, right in the heart of Suffolk.

This year sees the return of comedian Rich Hall as Otis Lee Crenshaw, as well as world-renowned acts such as Gretchen Peters, Otis Gibbs, Sadie And The Hotheads (featuring Downton Abbey’s Elizabeth McGovern) and Eve Selis and her band. As well as music, the festival also showcases film, dance and workshops, and features local ales, lager and cider and the best in regional food.

Maverick runs from June 29 to July 1 and was featured in the Guardian Top Ten Festivals 2010.
