Fund-raisers from the Lowestoft-based Lauren Lou appeal, which raises money and awareness in aid of Cancer Research UK and its appeals fund, have received a further boost.
Last Friday, February 3, Team Lauren Lou held a bucket collection at Morrisons in Lowestoft for its appeals fund to help local people, with £287.42 donated.
Sales of new Unity bands from Cancer Research UK, as part of its World Cancer Day, raised a further £272 to make £559.42 being raised on the day.
Gary Bennett, of the Lauren Lou appeal, said: 'Thank you to the management of Morrisons at North Quay Retail Park, my kind volunteers and a massive thank you to the very kind customers who donated.'
On Saturday a bucket collection for the appeals fund was held at Morrisons in Beccles. With £774.20 donated, the Unity bands raised a further £281 giving an overall total on the day of £1055.20.
