A charity is taking part in three days of static cycling in Lowestoft to raise money for a new brain injury centre.
Brainwave Inpendence Group, in partnership with East Coast Community Healthcare, started their cycle marathon today at the Lowestoft Starbucks on London Road North.
It will continue tomorrow at Lloyd’s Bank and again on Saturday at Homebase.
The group will be accepting donations while they cycle and are selling pins, magnets, badges and keychains for the public to purchase, with all the money going towards the group’s fundraising efforts to build a £200,000 day centre for people who have suffered brain injuries through trauma or illness.
The group have already raised £150,000 to date for the centre, and are aiming to raise the final £50,000 by the end of this year.
The cycle is also being done during brain injury awareness week, where charities highlight the struggles faced by those who have suffered brain injuries.
