Children at Roman Hill Primary School were hopping with joy at the latest arrivals to their wildlife garden.
The school's pond is teeming with frogs and frog spawn - and staff say it's the most they have seen in years.
School business manager Linda Murkett said: 'The pond has been there for a lot of years but this is the first year we have had so many. The noise they make is quite fantastic.'
The pupils have been incorporating the frogs into their lessons - from drawing the amorous amphibians to watching the tadpoles hatch and grow.
The primary school, in Avondale Road, was awarded a £12,000 grant from the Tesco Bags of Help initiative in December. They have used the money to transform an outdoor area. The improvements include a path to make the area accessible to disabled people, a gazebo for outdoor learning, bird boxes and insect boxes.
