Roll up, roll up - the circus is in town and children have been given the chance to have a go at performing for themselves.
As part of a series of half term events organised by the Seagull Theatre, the Foolhardy Circus Arts group ran a skills workshop for youngsters and then demonstrated one of their standout shows.
Karen Read, the manager of the theatre, said: 'As a mother of four children a big part of what I want to do as the manager is get more kids in to the theatre.'
Since starting her role at the beginning of the year, the theatre has launched a youth group and a musical theatre group.
The playhouse has put on a series of events during the half term and holidays to encourage young people to take an interest in acting.
Cosmo Hardy, from the circus group, said: 'Children like circus skills because its great fun and parents say that is wonderful that their kids are able to something practical and physical.
'It is very rewarding to be able to share circus skills with all these people.'
Joe Fool, a member of the circus group, who sadly passed away this year, was represented on stage in the form of a cut-out.
'He was a legend, he had the biggest heart of anyone I knew,' Mr Hardy said.
