Chimney fires quickly dealt with

Fire crews have dealt with two chimney fires in Lowestoft and Reydon.

Firefighters from Wrentham and Halesworth fire stations were called out following reports of a chimney blaze in Hurn Crag Road, Reydon.

The two fire crews were alerted at 12.07pm today (Tuesday, February 6) to the chimney fire, which they soon had under control as the scene was cleared by 12.29pm.

Yesterday, a crew from Lowestoft South fire station responded to a chimney blaze in Alma Road, Lowestoft.

Firefighters were called out at 2.46pm on Monday, February 5 and they had quickly tackled the blaze, as the scene was cleared by 2.58pm.
