On the May 14 it was a special evening at the club because it was presentation time for many of the members who had gained awards in the competitions during the 2008-09 season. Before this evening took the form of a lucky dip draw, eight films were screened in the allotted time most drawn were by John Rushmere who seemed to have the luck of the draw and one by Roger Bellham with a super eight film titled Yesterday, these films were preceded by a short special film A Chance Encounter by Jim Buckenham showing the founder member John Burt sailing his yacht Cherry Pie on Oulton Broad. The buffet was then served by Sheila Buckenham and Marion Whitewood with food prepared by several members. The raffle was organised by Gordon Mitchell and Jim Buckenham and the winning numbers called out by the chairman Harold Whitewood. There were apologies from Frances and David Bucknole and John Dunnant. It was then time to present the many awards to members Peter Evans, Marion Whitewood, Austin Pink, Allen Pettitt, Ron Rushmere, John Rushmere, John Barker, David Bucknole, Jeff Riches and Alan Ruff, these awards were presented by Mildred Mobbs wife of club president Austin. A pot plant was then presented by Mildred to the honorary secretary Marion Whitewood for all the work she gets through during the season.
