A MAN threw a cup of coffee over a 21-year-old woman during a dispute at the pedestrian crossing outside McDonalds in Arbor Lane around 12.30pm last Friday.

The woman had gone to McDonalds with her boyfriend and he was on the crossing when a red Vauxhall Corsa van pulled up.

A passenger in the vehicle – described as white, of fat build, with short dark hair and bushy eyebrows – made gestures towards her boyfriend.

The couple went over to the van and the passenger became abusive towards them and an altercation ensued when the coffee was thrown over the woman’s top. She was uninjured.

•Police are asking the man involved or anyone who may have seen the incident to call PC 1638 Barber at Lowestoft on 101.
