Members of the public who have had their bikes stolen have been invited to reclaim their stolen property.

The opportunity follows an investigation by police in Lowestoft into a large number of bicycle thefts in the town which has resulted in more than 40 bicycles and parts discovered.

People who haven't been contacted by the police but have had a bike stolen have been invited to view the recovered items to possibly identify their property provided they have photographic identification.

The viewings will take place at Lowestoft Police Station on Sunday, April 15, between 9am and 4pm, with access via the rear basement gates in Christ Church Square, off Whapload Road.

A spokesman for the police said: 'Previously identified property will be not be on display and before property is returned there would need to be some corroborative evidence in the forms of crime reports, photographs, or full descriptive information provided before viewing.'
