COMMUNITY spirit is not dead.

Thirty residents and volunteers braved the wind and snow on Saturday morning to plant 300 trees and bushes on the Montgomery Avenue play park.

This was the first stage of creating a woodland and wildlife area asked for by the children. CCTV and extra dog bins will follow shortly. Phase two will commence in the new year, the peace garden.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who helped on the day and also those that helped in the planning of this event.
