Concern over `lost grant' money
IT was with some concern that I learnt about the article concerning the 'lost grant', which was supposed to have left our project in 'financial catastrophe'.
IT was with some concern that I learnt about the article concerning the 'lost grant', which was supposed to have left our project in 'financial catastrophe'.
As a relatively new chair this was the first I had heard about it having not been to the original meeting in March; nobody asked my opinion about it and therefore had no authority to speak on our behalf.
Finally, we are in the process of seeking sustainable funding from various organisations and although it would have been nice to get 800, this would hardly be sufficient to keep us running for the next year.
Waveney District Council is supporting us by providing free office space and we have applied for a grant of 10k towards running costs. Without this support the service we provide to the BME communities in Waveney would not be possible. We therefore appreciate the support that we have received thus far from the council and continue to foster mutually beneficial links in order to meet the needs of our service users.
