Information days are set to be held in Lowestoft and Southwold to discuss progress on proposed offshore windfarm projects.

ScottishPower Renewables is hosting the events as part of the third phase consultation for the proposed East Anglia TWO and East Anglia ONE North offshore windfarm projects.

The information days will be held at Stella Peskett Hall in Mights Road, Southwold next Saturday, June 30 between 10am and 1pm, at the Hotel Victoria in Lowestoft on Thursday, July 5 between 4pm and 7pm and at Southwold Rugby Club, The Common in Southwold on Friday, July 27, from 3pm to 6pm.

The events will give the opportunity to locals to learn more about the projects and to give their views, as the project team and technical specialists are on hand to answer questions.

David Walker, development director at ScottishPower Renewables, said: 'It is important that we regularly meet with communities and stakeholders in East Anglia to share the latest information. We are now within Phase 3 of consultation, where the focus will be on the Indicative Onshore Development Area. In particular we would like to hear the local communities' views on mitigation required within this area, particularly at the substations and along the cable route.'
