Lent lunches - Over the years, the series of Lent lunches held in the village has been increasingly anticipated and well-supported. This year saw the money raised amounting to the record sum of �832, which will be donated to Hope Africa, a charity working for the prevention and cure of Aids.
Lent lunches - Over the years, the series of Lent lunches held in the village has been increasingly anticipated and well-supported. This year saw the money raised amounting to the record sum of �832, which will be donated to Hope Africa, a charity working for the prevention and cure of Aids. Thanks go to the hosts of the lunches and also to those who attended them.
Annual meeting - The annual parish meeting, at which representatives of the various village organisations either submit, or themselves read out, a report of the year's activities will be held in the village hall on Tuesday, May 5 at 7pm. All residents are welcome to attend both the parish meeting and the parish council meeting which follows it.
Church services - The annual vestry meetings will be held at St Bartholomew's Church on Sunday, April 26 at 9.30am and there will be a service of evening eucharist at 6pm. The 11am service at Corton Methodist Church will be led by the Rev R Searles and Mr A Watts.
