Skills in music, art and writing were all on show at the end-of-term concert on Tuesday of last week. A specially-composed piece by the school's brass band introduced an afternoon of instrumental items and songs interspersed with readings reflecting the children's recent work on the geography, history and fauna of South America. The musical items featured songs of the sea from the whole school and contributions from the violin and recently formed tin whistle groups, with the readings illustrated by animal masks and the children's T-shirt designs. During the afternoon it was announced that the school had been chosen as representative for East Anglia in Bloom in the primary school section and that Dominic Smith had won a prize in a nationwide poetry competition following the school's visit to Sutton Hoo.
