Council should consider time and money

PUBLISHED: 14:02 29 September 2008 | UPDATED: 21:24 05 July 2010

THE current review of local government in Norfolk and Suffolk is a flawed process and an unnecessary diversion of time and money.

I would like to ask Peter Aldous (September 12) when did this council consider time and money?

He states that the possible merger with Norfolk would result in poorer services.

He states that the possible merger with Norfolk would result in poorer services. I do believe I read some weeks ago that this council were farming contracts out to Norfolk such as bin collections, street cleaning, car parks and park maintenance, to name but a few.

As far as CEFAS is concerned there is no good reason why they should not developed the Shell site; this is a very poor excuse for obtaining the site at Riverside Road were the third crossing should have been built years ago.

Jim Godfrey's suggestion (September 12) to weld the bascule bridge together is worthwhile and may I volunteer to weld it together as I'm sure there would be no shortage of volunteers.
