Council should try to create spark

PUBLISHED: 12:00 26 August 2008 | UPDATED: 21:08 05 July 2010

THERE are lots of mums and dads

Who would like to visit Waveney on the Broads, or by the sea.

Lowestoft with golden sand, two piers, and putting green,

Surely, for any discerning 'model', bikini wearer,

The ideal place to be to be seen!

Sadly there are'nt so many vehicle owners quite as keen to pay Waveney, the daily fee of £5.

THERE are lots of mums and dads

Who would like to visit Waveney on the Broads, or by the sea.

Lowestoft with golden sand, two piers, and putting green,

Surely, for any discerning 'model', bikini wearer,

The ideal place to be to be seen!

Sadly there are'nt so many vehicle owners quite as keen to pay Waveney, the daily fee of £5.50p,

That's why Lowestoft streets are clogged on summer days, by parked cars at every turn.

Wouldn't you have thought this should be more of Waveney's concern,

To help the hard pressed family, also of course Waveney's retail trade,

Rather than see all those cars parked by the kerb of Lowestoft's Marine Parade.

Yet many vacant spaces still exist on council land,

Come on Waveney, create the spark,

Realistically reduce the cost of the daily park.
