Councillor on the move
AFTER several months of planning we will be leaving Lowestoft next week and returning nearer to my roots in Northumbria to be nearer our daughters who have settled in the North.
AFTER several months of planning we will be leaving Lowestoft next week and returning nearer to my roots in Northumbria to be nearer our daughters who have settled in the North.
I have offered my resignation to Waveney District Council with effect from November 6 and my wife Beth is retiring as a magistrate from the NE Suffolk Bench after 30 years service (she may pick up the leads at Gateshead!)
Having lived in Lowestoft for more that 40 years and been very much involved in community life we will miss it very much and particularly the friends and associates we have made in the various organisations to which we have belonged.
We hope that Lowestoft will grow from strength to strength.
