THIEVES wearing a ski mask and scarf walked into a flat in Lowestoft, grabbed a man and woman before fleeing with cash.

Investigations are underway into the burglary with violence incident, which left the two occupants shocked after Wednesday evening's ordeal.

Police are seeking information after two men walked into a flat in Marine Parade around 7pm on Wednesday.

A couple - a man and a woman - were at home when the two burglars - one about 5ft 11ins tall wearing dark clothing and a ski mask, the other around 5ft 9ins tall and wearing a grey hooded top, light coloured trousers and a scarf over his face - walked into the flat via the back entrance and demanded money.

The woman was grabbed and the man held while the thieves stole cash from his pocket.

Both men then left. No weapon was seen and neither the man or the woman were injured, but both have been left shaken by the incident.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time or who may have information about the thieves to telephone Lowestoft CID on 01986 835300.
