Cyclist hurt in morning accident

POLICE want to trace a driver involved in an accident with a cyclist at the junction of Waveney Drive and Tom Crisp Way, in Lowestoft at 8.35am this morning.

The lady cyclist, believed to be aged around 50 years old, sustained facial injuries including a suspected broken nose and was taken to the James Paget University Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the small silver car, thought to be a Renault Clio, initially stopped but then drove away from the scene without leaving her details.

Police need to trace this driver and are appealing for her or anyone who saw the collision or who has information about the incident to call PC 1475 Plummer at Lowestoft on 01986 835300.
