A TOURING youth project will cycle into Norfolk and Suffolk this month pulling three trailers full of equipment to perform plays and provide workshops on the subject of sustainability.

The Otesha Project's east coast cycle tour will eventually cover 600 miles as 15 volunteers, also carrying 30 panniers, travel the region.

Tom Lafford, from the project, said: “We have no support vehicles, just a very large toolkit and lots of spares.”

On Friday, they arrive in Lowestoft where they will be performing and providing workshops at a youth involvement day on Saturday; on September 6-8, they will be in and around Holt; on September 7, they will be learning about Cley Marshes; on September 9, they will be in Hunstanton performing and taking workshops at Redgate Junior School.

They head to Cromer for two performances and lots of workshops at the Greenbuild event at Felbrigg Hall on September 12 and 13.

On September 15, they will perform at Matishall Primary School, then Framingham School on September 16, and Rockland St Mary School on September 17.

The play and workshops show adults and children how they can improve their environment through simple everyday actions.
