Warren Fernandez, 41, of Elmgrove Road, Gorleston, appeared at Norwich Crown Court and admitted causing the death of Andrew Mackay by dangerous driving.

The incident happened at Hopton on April 12 and involved Fernandez's vehicle colliding with a car driven by Mr Mackay, of Kennington Park Road, London.

Mr Mackay's wife and children were injured in the crash.

The court heard Mr Fernandez had a string of previous convictions, including driving while disqualified and with excess alcohol.

He was bailed to be sentenced on November 13.
