After noticing a car travelling on false cloned number plates in Lowestoft yesterday (Friday, July 20) police attempted to make a stop.

And while the driver initially tried to get away, once caught the police found more than they had bargained for.

In a tweet detailing the successful stop Norfolk and Suffolk Roads Policing and Firearms Unit said: 'Within the vehicle was a number of items used in vehicle crime including this retro slim jim.'

A Slim Jim is a long, thin strip of metal which are used to unlock cars doors without a key. The hooked end of the tool is slipped between a car's window and rubber seal to catch the lock mechanism inside.
