BRITAIN'S king of comedy, Ken Dodd is to return to Lowestoft's Marina Theatre later this year. The Professor of Giggleology and Master of Applied Tickelogy at Notty Ash University will once again present his unique feast of laughter and song on Saturday, March 28.

The Professor of Giggleology and Master of Applied Tickelogy at Notty Ash University will once again present his unique feast of laughter and song on Saturday, March 28.

Following previous sell out visits to the town his appearance is expected to be a sell out.

Proud holder of the OBE, Ken is also a major recording artiste with star hits including Tears, which became one of the biggest selling singles of all time, Happiness, and Love is Like a Violin.

He has also played Malvio in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and is one of the biggest box office stars in the history of British theatre.

Ken has also been honoured by the prestigious British Comedy Awards, - with their highest accolade, The Lifetime Achievement Award.

It was presented in recognition of his unique contribution to British Comedy during a successful career that has established him as a show business legend.

Martin Halliday, manager at the Marina Theatre said: 'He is the king of British comedy and we are thrilled that he will play the Marina again in March.'
