Police were called to Howley Gardens at 12.50pm today (Friday) following reports that a German Shepherd was 'running around the road' according to a spokesman.
Officers had earlier attended an area of Oulton after reports that the dog was loose elsewhere. The pet was eventually 'cordoned off' at Howley Gardens and the dog's owner attended the scene to collect the Alsatian.
