Drivers have rights too

I AM aghast to learn that the residents of the Borrow Road area of Oulton Broad are complaining that motorists are using the road and bridge as a detour from, it seems, incessant roadworks in the town culminating with the bascule bridge being shut off.

Drivers pay their road tax, and frankly, we have the right to drive, within the law, where we want. Try and tell my boss I was late for work because I was not allowed to use Borrow Road.

As we have suffered for several years with no light at the end of the tunnel we should all be given a road tax rebate.
