Two drunken sailors caused a false alarm for the emergency services after a boat was reportedly sinking in the broads.
Lowestoft and Southwold Coastguard said they had been called out to North Cove and Burgh St. Peter on the River Waveney to reports of a boat sinking and two people on boards in danger at 2.27am on May 26.
They said a bank side search was performed with Hemsby Broads Rescue and Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service completing river searches.
The boat was found by the Waveney River Centre in the reeds, but it was soon discovered it was not taking on water and was in no imminent danger.
The two occupants of the boat were also in no danger and were discovered to be drunk.
Police spoke to them.
