A series of public information days will be held across Suffolk – including events in Lowestoft and Southwold – as progress on offshore windfarm projects is shared.

Hosted by ScottishPower Renewables, the events will discuss progress on their proposed East Anglia ONE North and East Anglia TWO offshore windfarm projects. The public information days will be held on March 17, at the Hotel Victoria in Lowestoft between 10am and 1pm, and at Stella Peskett Hall in Southwold between 3pm and 6pm.

The events will provide the opportunity for local communities to learn more about the design of the windfarms, to meet the project team and specialists, and to review the Statements of Community Consultation (SoCC) for each project.

David Walker, Development Director at ScottishPower Renewables, said: 'We believe that our two new proposed projects will help to deliver further environmental and economic benefits for the region. We would like to hear from as many people possible during this early development phase as feedback from local communities is important in shaping our plans.'

ScottishPower Renewables anticipates applications being submitted for East Anglia TWO in 2019 and East Anglia ONE North in 2020.
