Plans to expand the East Anglia Transport Museum will be discussed at a planning committee meeting tonight.
The proposals from the museum in Carlton Colville includes an application for full planning permission for additional exhibition depot facilities, to extend tram, narrow gauge railway and trolley bus rides.
They also include additional rally display areas and a new car park for staff.
In addition to this, the proposals include new exhibition depots. The main depot will be devoted to the legacy of Lowestoft's former Eastern Coachworks with the two remaining depots providing separate facilities for trolley bus and tram exhibitions.
The application also includes permission for overhead wires for the tram tracks and trolley bus routes, alongside permission for landscaping, tree planting and hedgerows on the north boundary on the site.
Three objections to the application have been lodged on the grounds of flooding, noise pollution, and diesel fumes and traction engine smoke.
Waveney District Council's planning committee will decide whether to approve the application at their meeting tonight at their offices at Riverside, Lowestoft, from 6.00pm.
