A new venture will launch in Lowestoft this weekend.

The North East Suffolk Citizens Advice Bureau, based in Lowestoft, is starting a craft collective – in aid of NESCAB with the aim to not only provide venues for local crafts people to sell their goods, but to also raise much need funds for the bureau.

The first event – East Coast Crafters May fair – will be held at NESCAB's new premises at St Margaret's House in Gordon Road on Saturday, May 6 from 10am to 3pm. A spokesman said: 'There will be a selection of handmade crafts, tea, coffee with free biscuits and a grand raffle. We have secured some wonderful prizes from local businesses, which include a meal for two at Wetherspoons, a hamper from Morrisons of Pakefield and many other super prizes. NESCAB work hard every year helping many local people and not many know that we are a charity and that we are always looking ways to bring in new funds so that a service that has been available for free for over 50 years can continue to help the local community.'
