A day celebrating the depth and breadth of Lowestoft's heritage will kick off on Saturday.
The East Coast Heritage Day has been organised by the Suffolk Family History Society, and Flog-It star Elizabeth Talbot will open the day's events.
Starting at 10am and running until 4pm, the event is free to enter and will take place at the Lowestoft campus of East Coast College in the Astral Building, followed by an organised walk on Sunday, June 17.
Speakers at the event will include Sarah Doig talking about Daniel Defoe and Ivan Bunn discussing John Louth Clemence, costing £2 per talk or £3 for both.
Alongside talks there will be heritage and history groups with stalls at the event including Blundeston Local History Group, Great Yarmouth Local History and Archeology Society, and the Jack Rose Old Lowestoft Society.
Other attendees will be Lowestoft Archaeology and Local History Society, Lowestoft Movie Makers, Lowestoft Heritage Centre, Nelson Museum Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft Maritime Museum, Lowestoft Museum, Southwold Museum, Suffolk Family History Group, and Waveney District Council Heritage Action Zone.
The East Coast College will also have an art exhibition on the same day from its higher education students in their main building which is open to the public to view.
The maritime department at the college will have its bridge simulator so the public can try bringing a ship into Lowestoft harbour and through the two bridges.
There will also be a chance to meet the crews from Lowestoft and Gorleston Lifeboats, and visitors will be able to enjoy The Rogues Shanty Choir over a spot of lunch.
On Sunday, June 17, Bob Collis will be leading a North Lowestoft War Walk from the Flint House cafe in Lo with tickets available at the event.
A spokesman said: 'The walk may take in the scores, local paths and steps that linked the historic north Lowestoft on top of the cliff with the beach village and the working areas linked to the fishing trade such as the net stores which are at sea level, so you will need to climb steps.'
