The chairman welcomed members and after the business, Sarah, a Police Community Support Officer, gave lots of advice on ways to keep yourself and your valuables safe. She also distributed leaflets and purse chains to members. Molly and Maureen, who had an Easter egg sales table at the last meeting, were pleased to report that they had raised �38 for charity and thanked all who contributed and purchased eggs. The Strawberry Fair is on June 18 at the United Reformed Church. The Bowls Group has now started to play at Kensington Gardens on Wednesday mornings. The raffle was drawn and the meeting closed with the national anthem. Next meeting is on June 4 at the BT Hall. New members welcome.
