Emergency services were called to an incident on the A47 Bascule Bridge in Lowestoft after a collision involving a vehicle and a cyclist.
The East of England Ambulance Service received an emergency 999 call just after 9.30am this morning, September 6, and sent an ambulance along to the scene.
A male cyclist in his 70s was treated at the scene, before being taken to James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston.
The aftermath of the collision caused very slow traffic in both directions at Station Square, leading to a build up of congestion in the area.
The scene was subsequently cleared so that traffic could begin flowing smoothly again.
