Firefighters were called out following reports that two people were trapped after part of the floor of a home in Lowestoft collapsed.
Two crews from Lowestoft South fire station and an ambulance crew were called to Crisp Close, off Normandy Road in north Lowestoft, about 4.30pm this afternoon (Monday).
With the ambulance service requesting support from fire crews to assist with a “rescue” incident, a spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said there was a report of “two patients” in need of treatment.
But amazingly, the two people emerged unscathed after falling through part of the flooring at the property, which gave way and collapsed.
After assessing the home and finding that the people were not trapped, the fire crews had left the scene within 20 minutes. The ambulance service spokesman confirmed that there were “no injuries” in the incident.
