A horse has been reunited with its owner by police after an early morning escape.
Police were called to reports of an escaped horse on Burnt Hill Lane, Carlton Colville, at around 5.30am this morning.
PC Aiden Goldsmith and PC Daniel Watson successfully retrieved the horse, called Dakota, and returned it to its rightful owner at around 6am, but not before a minor police chase around a wheat field.
Lowestoft Police tweeted: 'Great start to #SummerSolstice #NRT4 located Loose Pony Dakota this morning & Reunited with the owner.
