It really is enough to make one weep because how many times does it have to be pointed out that there is no such thing as EU funding. There never has been and never will be.
But what there is, as has been said so many times before, is British taxpayer's cash that has been shovelled into the Brussels coffers and then returned to our country, less than 75p in the pound, by the unelected, unaccountable European commissioners.
There is no mention, either by the commissioners or Suffolk and Waveney councillors, that to receive this so-called £250m grant for the funding our government had to hand over £1,000m of taxpayers hard-earned cash in the first place.
