I VISITED Dell Road School on November 19 as part of their centenary year with Mr Brooks and three other members of the evacuee association.

The children were all dressed as evacuees with gas masks and labels. I was evacuated from this school on June 2, 1940, and this brought back a lot of memories.

I would like to say how well behaved all the children were and such a pleasure. I am sure this is down to all the dedicated teachers; the work and time that must have gone into the day is a credit to them all.
