A MAGICAL journey through the history books is set to transform Lowestoft town centre later this year.
From Witch Trials and the plague in Lowestoft, right through to the Fisher Girls and Gulliver becoming major focal points in the town, the event is aiming to capture Lowestoft's historical roots.
Organised by Lowestoft Town Management Partnership with support from Waveney District Council, local historians Ivan Bunn and Sophie Jackson and Black Knight Historical, the Living History event in Lowestoft will take place on July 11.
The partnership is also working in conjunction with the schools' Back to the Future project as part of the forthcoming event, and Emma Jones, Lowestoft Town Centre manager, said: 'The amount of history that has emerged from this is unreal - we want everybody to come along, get involved and be part of what is a real opportunity for everyone in Lowestoft.'
Backed by an Awards for All lottery grant, a committee is currently planning the event, which is envisaged to start at the beginning of time with dinosaurs.
The event will be held from The Triangle to Station Square and will include re-enactments, plays, photos, puppet show and music -- plus lots more.
