An all-inclusive football event, held at Raw Soccer in Lowestoft, has been hailed a success.
With Raw Soccer, the North Suffolk School Sports Partnership and Suffolk Football Association organising the event, five schools from across north Suffolk took part in a day of inclusive football.
Matt Potter, from Suffolk FA, led a multi-skills, speed agility and quickness session, which was 'hugely enjoyed' by the Ormiston Denes Academy pupils. This looked at movement, skills and prepared the team for the afternoon tournament, which saw the five partnership schools take part in four-a-side matches.
Ormiston Denes were unbeaten with two wins and two draws, with Hayden's last gasp goal meaning the side came away as champions. Stuart Aldous, Head of PE at the academy in Yarmouth Road, said: 'Well done to all who played and demonstrated such excellent sportsmanship, and thank you to Phil Woolnough and Jeffrey Hoey for their hosting and organisation of the event.'
