A WEEKEND of charity events to make money for Comic Relief has raised thousands of pounds.
A fashion show featuring glamorous outfits from stars of stage and screen, an auction of signed film goodies and a 60s party all attracted people to Walberswick at the weekend.
Angie Power, one of the main organisers of the weekend's events - which included a car boot sale, film screenings and activities for children - said that about 5,200 was raised.
She said: 'It was an absolutely fantastic weekend. It all went very well and we were blessed with some great sunshine. We're really pleased with the amount of money we've raised.
'The fashion show attracted about a hundred people, which was magnificent. It makes all the hard work worthwhile. We had a great team of volunteers who worked to make this happen, so that effort has all paid off.'
