A Southwold charity is offering a helping hand to young people seeking a career in the performing arts.
In a bid to help homegrown talent fulfil their potential the Friends of East Suffolk Performing Arts (FESPA) is awarding one-off bursaries of up to £1,500 to a few carefully selected students each year.
The bursaries are designed to provide both financial support and encouragement to performing art students who either live in the area, have strong local connections and who already have a place at a recognised institution.
In order to apply for these, students must submit a written application, a CV and provide references, as well as be able to explain how the bursary would assist them.
Over the past nine years, the charity has awarded more than £48,750 worth of bursaries to performing arts students.
The closing date for completed applications is midnight on July 31. For full details, contact David Bunkell on FESPA@btinternet.com
