A charity Christmas event is being held at a South Lowestoft Industrial Estate store this weekend.

Homebase in Tower Road will be welcoming Father Christmas into the store, and there will also be real reindeers, performances from the Cantor Theatre School, a raffle, face painting and mince pies and hot drinks on sale.

Running tomorrow and Sunday, December 2 and 3, visitors will be able to see the reindeer from 11am to 1pm, with Santa in his grotto from 10am to 2pm tomorrow and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

A Homebase spokesman said: 'Homebase is proud of its policy of working with charities and community groups across the UK and the Lowestoft store has chosen to support the Royal National Lifeboat Institution to benefit from its fundraising activities at the Christmas event. It is hoped that some of the crew from Lowestoft Lifeboat will visit the store.'
