AS the summer season draws to a close, volunteers are needed to help clear up Suffolk beaches.

The annual Beachwatch clean-up, which takes place on September 19 and 20, sees groups of volunteers work together to survey sections of beach and to record and collect all the litter they find.

Sixteen groups have already signed up and organisers are hoping to exceed last year's record-breaking attendance when more than 800 people participated.
