Residents interested in renting a new affordable home in Kessingland are invited to attend an information event next week.
With the construction of 23 new affordable homes off The Nordalls in Kessingland approaching completion, the homes will then be available to rent through the Gateway to Homechoice scheme. The new homes – which comprise six 1-bed bungalows, five 2-bed bungalows, seven 2-bed houses and five 3-bed houses – will be let to those with a strong connection to Kessingland and the surrounding area. This includes anyone who has lived or worked in Kessingland for the last 5 years or those who have parents or siblings who have lived in the village for the last five years.
An information event, organised by Gateway to Homechoice, Waveney District Council and Orbit Housing, will take place on Tuesday, October 31 from 3.30pm to 6.30pm, at the Spinnaker Room at Marram Green, Kessingland.
The event will give people more information about the new homes as well as the Gateway to Homechoice scheme. Applications for the new homes can be made at the event, but applicants must be registered with Gateway to Homechoice and bring along ID, proof of Child Benefit, your National Insurance number, a six-year Housing History, details of your income and information on any medical issues.
