Fine words but no reply

PETER Aldous, the Conservative prospective parliamentary candidate for Waveney, reported that Bob Blizzard, the Waveney MP, was letting us, his constituents, down and basically we were being misrepresented and he was not doing what we wanted.

PETER Aldous, the Conservative prospective parliamentary candidate for Waveney, reported that Bob Blizzard, the Waveney MP, was letting us, his constituents, down and basically we were being misrepresented and he was not doing what we wanted. We deserved better he told us.

To that end Mr Aldous encouraged us to vote for him and all would change.

You printed my response asking him detail what he would implement.

In particular, I asked if he would give an assurance that when elected there would be a third crossing to alleviate the gridlock in Lowestoft. Also, if he would ensure a pedestrian crossing was constructed on the A12 Yarmouth Road near the junction with Hollingsworth Road to prevent another tragedy. These are fine examples of what the people of Lowestoft want.

I have noted the silence through your columns.

Fine words from Mr Aldous but it would seem that opposition allows him to “talk the talk” without “walking the walk.”

I am not a member of any political party. However, I can assure Mr Aldous if he wants my vote he needs to put some commitment in front of his rhetoric.
