FIREFIGHTERS from Lowestoft spent 45 minutes tackling a garage blaze after it was believed that a woman was inside the property.
Three crews from north Lowestoft station were called to Arbor Lane in Pakefield at 12.43pm today (Monday) following reports of a blaze involving a wooden garage attached to a single storey bungalow.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said that a nearby property was evacuated.
The spokesman said that a woman was believed to be inside the property, however while crews were at the scene, she returned to her home and all people were accounted for.
The blaze was brought under control by 1.30pm, however the property was heavily smoke-logged and undamaged asbestos boarding was identified in the garage.
