Emergency serivces were called to a house fire in Lowestoft yesterday afternoon.

Fire crews from Lowestoft South and Lowestoft North were called to Sussex Road just after 3pm.

The fire was in the front room of the three-storey house, which was heavily smoke logged.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to get the fire under control.

The fire was extinguished by 4pm.
