Fire crews kept busy in Pakefield

FIREFIGHTERS from Lowestoft were kept busy with two separate call-outs to blazes in skips at Pakefield Caravan Park.

The fire service control room received a call from an observant local at 8.

FIREFIGHTERS from Lowestoft were kept busy with two separate call-outs to blazes in skips at Pakefield Caravan Park.

The fire service control room received a call from an observant local at 8.08pm on Tuesday night with reports that a skip was ablaze at the park in Arbor Lane.

Firefighters spent 18 minutes putting out the flames, with the scene cleared by 8.26pm. A fire crew from Lowestoft were then called back to Pakefield Caravan Park at 9.20pm last night, after reports were received that an industrial skip was alight.

One hose reel was used to put out the flames and the scene was cleared by 9.38pm.
