While out on a training exercise on Pakefield Beach last night (Monday) the Lowestoft and Southwold Coastguard teams spotted two large fires on the beach at Kessingland.
The coastguards investigated and a spokesman said: 'The grass on the sand dunes were found to be alight at 8.30pm.'
A crew from Wrentham was called out and they put the flames out before checking the area.
