The fire service extinguished a barn fire in Pakefield.

Two crews from Lowestoft South were called to the fire at Hammonds Farm in Lowestoft at 12.02 on Wednesday, March 21 and successfully got the fire under control by 1pm.

The crews then damped down the remains of the fire and were stood down at 1.39pm.

The fire included a pile of rubbish and rubber tyres, with the wind and the contents of the fire worsening the amount of smoke.
