FIREFIGHTERS from Lowestoft South Station spent about 40 minutes dealing with around six tonnes of baled paper, which was ablaze in a yard in the town.
The crew were called to Victoria Road, Lowestoft last night (Thursday) at about 5.45pm, and they found a 'quantity of paper bales well alight in a yard.' About six tonnes of baled paper were alight, but firefighters quickly dealt with the blaze and the scene was cleared by 6.22pm.
